2024 has been an exciting year for Overwatch Esports, with the Overwatch Champions series ushering in a new, open, and always on competition for Overwatch’s most passionate fans and competitors alike. This amazing year - full of explosive matches, intense new rivalries, and rising stars - will culminate with the first-ever OWCS World Finals, which takes place at DreamHack Stockholm this November 22-24! We’ll break down each award in its own section below.
All three regions of the Overwatch Champions Series (North America, Asia, and EMEA) have seen some truly standout players in 2024. Whether they’re staunch team captains like Spacestation’s Hadi “Hadi” Bleinagel, dominant veterans like Kim "Shu" Jin-seo of Crazy Raccoon, or rising stars with aura to spare like Evan "PGE" Ngo, every OWCS fan can point to a player they’ve watched that stands above the rest.

Winners will receive a custom reward commemorating their accolades and immortalizing their performance!
Across all regions, there are always a select few players that rise to the top within their specific roles - Tanks that hold the line in the face of tremendous pressure; DPS players that always have a clutch factor in their pocket; Supports that keep you alive no matter what gets thrown at you. We’re excited to reward those players with our new Role MVP Awards!
Role MVP will be awarded across the ‘traditional’ five positions that make up most competitive Overwatch teams: Tank, Hitscan DPS, Flex DPS, Flex Support, and Main Support.

At DreamHack Stockholm, one award stands above all: the OWCS World Finals Champions. The team that hoists this trophy will go down in history as 2024’s greatest Overwatch team, and walk away with the lion’s share of the prize pool, with more details to be shared in the coming weeks!
With the best team on the planet decided, our last award answers one last question - who among them stood above the rest in the biggest match of the year?
The title of OWCS World Finals MVP will be granted to the player from the OWCS World Championship roster who contributed the most vital, impactful, and impressive performance amongst their team members during the tournament’s Championship match. Voting will be conducted live during the Grand Finals by a panel of the OWCS administration and broadcast talent. The winner will be announced after the conclusion of the Grand Finals match.
