In 2024, Calling All Heroes saw epic plays with a record number of participating teams and was the most watched CAH season yet. During CAH 2024’s thrilling conclusion, NTMR Eclipse was crowned the Challenger Series Champion, taking home $10,000 USD after their decisive victories over contending teams Queen’s G4mbit and Valentine.
2025 SEASON OVERVIEWIn 2025 we’re focusing on making CAH events accessible to more players and streamlining Championship qualification. Let’s see what’s in store for this year.
The CAH 2025 season starts in March, and several key changes have been made to reduce complexity and make it easier for players and teams to take breaks and plan out their play. Throughout 2025 there will be 5 open CAH events, with 3 of those qualifying directly to the end of year Championship. Let’s take a look at what to expect.
Minor events are being replaced with preseason and midseason tournaments called Raidiant CAH Academy
Raidiant CAH Academy 101 (preseason) and Raidiant CAH Academy 102 (midseason) are seeded single elimination bracket events that serve as lower-stakes entry points for players who want to give CAH a shot, but aren’t ready for larger commitment events.
Major events are being condensed into two stages, Spring and Summer
Main season play will no longer require intense back-to-back days filled with matches. Default matches will be assigned on Wednesdays over several weeks, and participating teams will also have opportunities to reschedule to days and times that work best for them. All participating teams will still play a six-round Swiss stage, with the top eight teams qualifying to their respective stage’s double-elimination playoff bracket.
No more Circuit Points
Teams will now have three clear opportunities to qualify for the 2025 CAH Championship. The top three teams from the Spring Stage playoff bracket, the top three teams from the Summer Stage playoff bracket and the top two teams from the Last Chance Qualifier will be invited to the eight-team double elimination Championship.
Verification Grace Period
Players who verified their eligibility for a 2024 CAH circuit event will be granted a grace period to complete their 2025 verification. This grace period only applies to players who have not changed their verification information.This is to ensure that a 2024 verification certificate doesn’t cause a player to delay their 2025 event registration.
FACEIT, Hero Bans and roster updates
To align with the Overwatch Champions Series, CAH 2025 events will be organized on the FACEIT tournament platform where players will benefit from the automated API connection between FACEIT and Overwatch. CAH will also implement Hero Bans into all circuit matches and Team rosters will be limited to a maximum of five starting players and two substitutes.
Prizing, viewership rewards, participation rewards and broadcasts return
In addition to the returning $50,000 USD in event prizing, we welcome new CAH partner support in 2025. Pura Vida will be joining CAH for the Spring Season, offering one-of-a-kind CAH bracelets and Hero-inspired bracelet style packs, a first for the CAH community. In addition to players and fans being able to purchase these unique bracelets to celebrate our favorite community, gift packages will also be provided for all teams that qualify for the Spring Season bracket stage. New and returning players will earn unique rewards for participating and fans will be able to watch and earn new and returning viewership rewards in 2025 (!DROPS).
